Which agencies give impact factor to a journal
There are many impact factors available of a journal on internet, which out of these should be best.
Web of Science which was earlier referred to as Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) provides authentic impact factor to journals and has been maintained by Thomson Reuters. However, in this age of competitiveness among publishers, should the impact factor assignment to a journal be assumed an exclusive monopoly of only one publisher. Should other publishers maintaining highest standards of academic writing be considered authentic for this purpose or not?
